About Us

We provide a range of services to people across the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham, an area encompassing Oxford, Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry, Warwick, Worcester, and Wolverhampton. We work with people from all walks of life, offering friendship, care, and support.

Our Mission

As the Social Care Agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham, we aim to continue to sustain the services we provide and extend these when needed. Also, to respond collaboratively through new local initiatives within our five themes.

Our work spans across these five themes, it is very important to us that we work with people of different ages, backgrounds, races, nationalities, and disabilities. We also continue to support and enable other community and social action work. We endeavor to ensure that everyone has impartial and fair treatment.

Caritas Community Work

Caritas, within the Archdiocese of Birmingham is a network of charities, parishes and services that provide charitable work in the name of the Church throughout the Archdiocese.

Our Founder

George Vincent Hudson was born on the 27th of September 1873, in the parish of Bredon, Worcestershire. His initial work at St Paul’s Roman Catholic Pool Law School, led to him setting up the working boy’s home later known as St Vincent’s, in 1901.

Our Values

Meeting the needs of the people we support has always been our mission. Our organisation’s philosophy is to provide the highest quality of care and support, and helps to guide us in our work.

Stories

The best people to tell you our stories is the people we connect with. We are excited to share stories from all over our organisation, from volunteers to the people we support, everyone has a voice that deserves to be heard.
