Safeguarding Statement
Thanks to a dedicated and professional safeguarding team, we have made significant progress in recent years to improve our commitment to safeguarding, and this work continues.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, not just that of the few. We all need to play our part and keep people safe.
Preventing harm is an absolute requirement for any organisation seeking to do good work within our society.
Our Board of Trustees
Our Board of Trustees has ultimate responsibility for safeguarding in Father Hudson’s, and are responsible for ensuring we comply with our duty of care in all our activities. Two Trustees take a lead with special responsibility for safeguarding.
The Board of Trustees delegate day-to-day responsibility for the management of safeguarding to the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Management Team, and designated Safeguarding Leads. Our Trustees and Heads of direct services meet 3 times a year. The responsibility for safeguarding at each associated charity remains the responsibility of local trustees, which includes Father Hudson’s Caritas members.
