Coleshill Day Services

We offer a varied programme of activities within our day centre, and out in the community, for people with moderate, severe and profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Our tailored service is for adults aged 18 and over. We are all about providing a safe, happy and welcoming place where people can enjoy new experiences and have fun.

We will advocate for them if they need us to and we are happy to involve and work alongside other professionals to ensure that our clients are supported in all aspects of their lives.

Karen, Manager

We are based in Coleshill and welcome people from neighbouring areas and further afield. We can offer support five days a week.

Our Christmas Fayre

On Sunday 30th November we held our annual Christmas Fayre. It’s always a great start to the festive season, and with the support of staff, stallholders and those attending we raised £1230.41!

All the money raised at the event will be going towards new assistive technology, a Magic Mirror, for our clients to use.

What we Offer

It is important we support the people we care for to participate and make meaningful connections with the world around them. We offer a range of therapies within our centre which help with general wellbeing, building skills, communication and interactions.

Designed specifically for purpose our hydro pool is for both those with a learning or physical disability. The pool can be easily accessed for people with physical disabilities via a track sealing hoist. This unique experience has numerous health benefits, including supporting posture and balance, promoting motor skills, and taking the stress off painful joints.

Our sensory room is a great place to relax, and interact with sensory stimulation, including light, touch, sound, textures and colours. We have a heated water bed, bean bags, bubble tubes as well as interactive equipment, which can set the mood.

Arts-Based Therapy

Who doesn’t love being creative, getting messy, dancing and connecting with friends? We offer arts, music, drama and dance therapy. These types of therapies don’t rely on verbal communication, but instead they focus on expressing yourself through touch, movement and creative art.
Arts Based Therapy at our day centre is fun, and our client group can benefit more than most from the sensory experience art can bring. We enjoy sessions such as flower arranging, gardening, and cooking delicious cakes.

Art therapy allows our clients to explore and engage with a range of different materials to stimulate and engage their senses.

Out in the Community

We are very lucky to have a lovely town on our doorstep, we often enjoy short walks into Coleshill. Some of the other activities we enjoy the most are horse riding, trips to the cinema, and going ice skating. Getting out and about allows our clients to experience something different, and develop a sense of independence.

Our team

We celebrate differences, and recognise everyone has individual needs. Our staff work together as a team to ensure that all who come into our day service are treated equally, feel included, and are able to be themselves whilst with us. Staff have access to ongoing training, are friendly and have a shared desire to provide the highest quality of care.
