Multibank 1st birthday

News in category: Homelessness, Children, External

A huge congratulations to West Midlands Multibank, Amazon, and BVSC on their 1st year anniversary!

Two of our staff, Zena Wedgwood, Schools Family Support Manager, and Caroline Gorman from Tabor Living, attended the celebration event. Both have benefitted from support from the Multibank over the last year, with surplus goods and donated items reaching families in need and people experiencing homelessness.

The Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Zafar Iqbal MBE, cut the cake, and is in the photo right with Zena (left) and Caroline (right).

Celebrating together

Guests at the event included:

  • Brendan O’Driscoll, Multibank Manager with Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Zafar Iqbal MBE
  • Councillor John Cotton, Leader of Birmingham City Council
  • Collette from Nechells POD (with Caroline, Tabor Living)
  • Brian Carr, CEO of BVSC

Zena Wedgwood and Caroline also managed to get a selfie in front of the West Midlands Multibank sign!

From all of us at Tabor Living Birmingham we want to celebrate and thank you for an incredible year of impact. Over the past 12 months, Multibank powered by the generosity and partnership of Amazon and the BVSC - has made an extraordinary difference to charities like ours across the Midlands. Your support ensures that people experiencing homelessness can access essential items that bring dignity, comfort, and stability at a time when they need it most. For our guests at Tabor House and Tabor Living, these resources go far beyond practical help - they are a reminder that people care. Your work is invaluable to the entire charity sector, and we are deeply grateful for your continued commitment to helping those most vulnerable in our communities.
