COVID-19 Update from Father Hudsons Care

Help us change lives for the better

Become a Trustee for Father Hudson's Care

Are you looking for a way to use your experience and expertise to contribute to an incredibly diverse Charity?

If so, you might be the person we are looking for.

We work with and support individuals, families, and communities; those who are homeless; those who experience the impact of complex disability in their lives; refugees and asylum seekers; the elderly who live with dementia, frail health, or isolation; children and young people for whom foster care or family support will help them achieve their potential, be safe and secure; and adults who have been in care in childhood or adopted. Many people are surprised when they hear about this breadth of service.

As a Charity we have such diversity in those who use our services and we want to ensure that that diversity exists in our Trustee Board, including those who have lived experience of using services, and we are determined to have and to recruit new members to the Board, because we believe this is embedded in our value base as well as our services. We have a Board of highly committed individuals who believe in our vision and mission. Please consider adding your particular gifts and experience to our Board.

We need:

New members for the Finance, Land and Support services subcommittee, particularly someone from an Accountancy background.

New members for the Adult Care subcommittee, particularly someone who was worked in a large (possibly national) Adult Care Charity or at a senior level in Local Authority/Health Adult Care commissioning or direct services.

One of the best ways to help a Charity is to provide good and wise governance. The Charity is used by those of many faiths and none, based only on need. It is important that any Trustee shares the Charity's Catholic ethos, mission, vision, and value base.

You would be committing to four Board meetings a year (4.30p.m. on a weekday evening), and four sub-committee meetings that take place three to four weeks before the main Board meeting, usually at 2.00 on a weekday. A full induction will be provided.
