Professionals

We have been working in partnership with schools since 2006. From our years of experience, we know that what is going on at home and in the family has an impact on a child or young person’s ability to attend and learn at school. Dealing with the underlying reasons behind poor attendance and engagement takes valuable teaching and pastoral staff time. We can help build bridges between families and school and support children and families with the challenges they face.

Our Family Support

How we work

Whole year support, not just term time. Out of school hours support, to fit around a family’s other commitments e.g. working and caring responsibilities.

We hold cases of 5-7 families per day, with no time limit for the length of support – we work with families as long as they need.

We use baseline assessment tools, to identify strengths and needs of a family. These are regularly reviewed and help us track progress and outcomes.

What we achieve

Parent feedback

Communication with my Family Support Worker was brilliant. She is a very approachable person and easy to communicate with.

Pink bubble which reads my child is less sensitive
Blue bubble that reads I am feeling less isolated
Yellow bubble which reads its reassuring to know my child has someone else they can trust

School Feedback

The Family Support Worker is proving to be a wonderful asset to the school and her bilingual abilities really help families to engage.
