Family Support Festivities

Our Family Support team celebrated Christmas across their schools, and shared their festive photos and stories below.

Zena - St John Fisher Advent Mass

It was a privilege to be invited to attend the Year 9 Advent Mass today to celebrate the season of Advent and the end of term.

Staff and learners wore festive jumpers to raise money for Father Hudson’s.

The Mass was led by the Headteacher Mr Murray, Mrs Littlejohn (Lay chaplain) and Father John. Parents, carers and their families were also invited.

It was an absolute honour to attend this Mass today, thank you so much for inviting me and for all of the children and staff who kindly donated to Father Hudson’s Caritas.

Aoife

A Year 11 learner helped Aoife to decorate her Christmas tree!

Jenny

Our Stay and Play group enjoyed a soft play session!

Eunice

St Bernard’s trip to the pantomime to watch Aladdin!

When we were at Head Office collecting presents and hampers we also had a shared breakfast of oatcakes, pancakes, pastries, eggs and other breakfast goodies.

Thank you to all the schools who donated food through the Reverse Advent appeal, and the parishes, businesses and pubs who donated presents, meaning every child in need had a present to open.

In Newcastle under Lyme the local St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) donated shoeboxes for teenagers in local schools.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave generously to help make Christmas brighter for families!
