Brushstrokes is an award-winning project in partnership with Father Hudson’s Care, The Infant Jesus Sisters and the parish of St Philip Neri, Smethwick. The project is well established with a proven track record in supporting refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in Sandwell and surrounding areas.

Brushstrokes is working with Sandwell Council on the delivery of work on the Refugee Transitions Outcome Framework pilot. The pilot project will ensure newly granted refugees are able to secure accommodation, move into employment and settle in Sandwell. 

This post will be responsible for the coordination, delivery and reporting on the project.  Managing referrals of new refugee cases, overseeing the delivery of employment, housing and integration support, supervision of delivery staff and volunteers and ensuring key monitoring and evaluation data is obtained and recorded. Working closely with Sandwell Council and other key agencies to ensure effective delivery of the project and positive outcomes for new refugees.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and good all-round IT skills.  An enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service will also be requested for the successful applicant.

You will have the ability to work with people from differing social and cultural backgrounds, be flexible and committed to our ethos of welcoming the stranger.

We are looking for some flexibility to undertake evening and weekend work.
