Inspired by fellow fundraiser Ra’chael McNamara, who spent a year raising funds in aid of our work, a group of people from St Catherine’s Bungalows and Day Service decided to take on a fundraising feat to support adults with disabilities.
In July, Helen Anson, Daniel White, Simon Gill and Karen McPherson scaled Mount Snowden to raise funds for the adult care services.
Helen and Daniel made their way on foot, climbing to Wales’s highest summit. Meanwhile Simon, a wheelchair user, took the train to meet them.
While the intention was for Karen to escort Simon, she admits that he ended up supporting her as she didn’t like the drops as the train climbed ever higher.
The party recorded footage of their journeys and spoke to us about their experiences.
