COVID-19 Update from Father Hudsons Care

Papal award recognises 20 years of service

Tim Bradford

Father Hudson’s Care extends sincere congratulations to former Chief Executive Tim Bradford on being awarded the Benemerenti Medal by Pope Francis in recognition of his service to Father Hudson’s Care and the diocesan community.

A Mass was celebrated on 4 September, where Bishop Philip Pargeter presented Tim with the award and certificate, in front of friends, family, colleagues and Trustees of Father Hudson’s.

Bishop Pargeter spoke warmly of how he had taught a young Tim in Staffordshire and now had the honour of presenting him with the award on his retirement.

Tim retired at Easter after nearly 20 years’ service on Father Hudson’s management team, with the last few years as Chief Executive. The award of the Benemerenti Medal recognises his dedication and achievements over that time.

Speaking at Easter, Archbishop Bernard Longley, the organisation’s President, said “I am immensely grateful for all that Tim has done to further the Church’s mission during his years at Father Hudson’s and I thank him especially for the leadership that he has given in recent years. I assure him of my prayers and best wishes for the future.
