COVID-19 Update from Father Hudsons Care

Businesses invited to support charity ball

Coleshill Vets

As Father Hudson’s Annual Fundraising Ball enters its 113th year, the Ball Committee is calling on local businesses to get involved.

The Ball, which will take place on 18 February 2017, is a great social event, bringing together business owners, suppliers, charity supporters and members of the public. It offers an ideal opportunity for local companies to target new customers and suppliers, advertise their businesses, attract new clients and network. It also demonstrates a corporate commitment to social action by supporting a charity that works directly with people in need.

The Annual Ball is run by an independent committee of volunteers who give their time to support the vital work carried out by Father Hudson’s Care. The Committee has decided to support two projects this year and so want to make it as successful as possible to significantly benefit each project. With your support, we know we can do it!

There are many ways your business can get involved:

  • /media/news/library/c16010-0080-cropped.jpgYou could donate a prize to the raffle or tombola – all prizes, big and small, are gratefully received and help boost ticket sales for the raffle and tombola -
    • do you run a hairdresser’s or beauty salon? Why not donate a free appointment or treatment?
    • Bakers – donate a cake and leave your business card with it. You can get your name known, support our cause and attract new customers;
  • Florists – why not donate some table decorations for the night, complete with your contact details;
  • You could sponsor the band or the tombola and have your company displayed all evening for all to see. Or sponsor the raffle tickets, targeting everyone who attends;
  • You can also advertise in the evening’s programme. The full colour, high quality brochure is laid out on every table and contains the menu or the evening, so your advert will be seen by everyone who attends. Adverts start at £90 for a quarter page, £175 for a half page or £300 for a full page;
  • /media/news/library/table-with-white-border.jpgThank your staff or suppliers by booking a table. We can offer tables of 8, 10, 12 or more so your group can stay together. With dinner and dancing, a night at the Ball makes an excellent corporate party;
  • Buy tickets for the event to enjoy a fun night out while supporting two great projects;
  • Make a donation on our JustGiving page.

Proceeds from the night will be used to support two projects – New Routes Fostering and Young at Heart.

New Routes provides fostering placements to children and young people in and around Birmingham who are unable to live with their birth families. With the Ball’s help they want to provide more educational, health and personal development opportunities to the children and young people they help.

Young at Heart reaches out the hand of friendship to vulnerable and extremely isolated older people in North Staffordshire. Older people are supported to attend one of four regular friendship groups where they can make friends, take part in various activities, exercise, and get support and information. Without Young at Heart many wouldn’t see a friendly face from one week to the next.

Get in touch today to show your support.

Prize donations can be brought to Father Hudson’s Care, St George’s House, Coleshill B46 3FG. Offices are open from 8:30 – 5:00 Monday to Thursday and 8:30 – 4:30 on Fridays.
