As Father Hudson’s Annual Fundraising Ball enters its 113th year, the Ball Committee is calling on local businesses to get involved.
The Ball, which will take place on 18 February 2017, is a great social event, bringing together business owners, suppliers, charity supporters and members of the public. It offers an ideal opportunity for local companies to target new customers and suppliers, advertise their businesses, attract new clients and network. It also demonstrates a corporate commitment to social action by supporting a charity that works directly with people in need.
The Annual Ball is run by an independent committee of volunteers who give their time to support the vital work carried out by Father Hudson’s Care. The Committee has decided to support two projects this year and so want to make it as successful as possible to significantly benefit each project. With your support, we know we can do it!
There are many ways your business can get involved:
Proceeds from the night will be used to support two projects – New Routes Fostering and Young at Heart.
New Routes provides fostering placements to children and young people in and around Birmingham who are unable to live with their birth families. With the Ball’s help they want to provide more educational, health and personal development opportunities to the children and young people they help.
Young at Heart reaches out the hand of friendship to vulnerable and extremely isolated older people in North Staffordshire. Older people are supported to attend one of four regular friendship groups where they can make friends, take part in various activities, exercise, and get support and information. Without Young at Heart many wouldn’t see a friendly face from one week to the next.
