COVID-19 Update from Father Hudsons Care

Boost for Coleshill Honesty Shop

Honesty shop

Father Hudson’s Care has become the latest group to get involved in the monthly Honesty Shop at Coleshill Town Hall, by both running a stall and providing volunteer personal shoppers.

Tenants of the Domiciliary Care service, which works with adults who need support to live independently, have volunteered to act as personal shoppers, helping people find the goods they need. This is a wonderful way for residents to support their local community and to work in partnership with other local organisations.

Meanwhile, people who attend St Catherine’s Day Service have been making bath bombs, soap and other toiletries to sell at the shop. They held their first stall at the end of May and returned in June. They are looking forward to taking part regularly. The Day Service offers activities for adults with a range of complex physical, sensory and learning disabilities from Coleshill and surrounding areas. They enjoy making the toiletries, and proceeds from their sales will go directly back into the centre.

The Honesty Shop is delivered by the Healthy Living Network and Coleshill Hub in partnership with Woodlands School, Ediblelinks food bank and others. It takes place on the last Friday of each month at Coleshill Town Hall, from 10:00am to 1:00pm, and enables people to purchase a variety of goods at a fraction of the usual cost. It is run by volunteers, and increases access to healthy food and essential items.
