Big Lottery Award for New Heights Counselling Service

New Heights Building

New Heights Community Project in Kingstanding has this month been awarded Big Lottery Funding for their Domestic Abuse Counselling Service, until 2022.

The funding will provide much needed stability for the project over the next five years, allowing communities in the North of Birmingham to access local counselling and support.

The Domestic Abuse Counselling Service is for men and women over the age of 16, who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse at any point in their lives.  The service is confidential, free of charge and offered during term time only.

The project is run by an experienced team of counsellors who provide up to 24 sessions of one-to-one counselling, group therapy, workshops and support groups, helping people recover from their experiences of abuse./media/news/library/new-heights.jpg
