A taste of success for Hanley lunch club

Hanley lunch club

The Hanley Young at Heart lunch club is pleased to announce that it achieved a food hygiene rating of four out of five at a recent inspection, the second highest rating possible.

This means they’re performing well, food is handled, prepared and stored safely, facilities are clean and that the inspector is confident these standards will be maintained in the future.

Matt Ford, Development Officer for the Young at Heart project, said, “the volunteers and Annette Thomas have worked hard in getting this grade and are rightly very proud.” The people who attend the club were “over the moon”, giving the volunteers a congratulatory round of applause when the news was announced.

This is a great achievement for the team, helping to give those attending extra confidence that the lunch club really does have their health and wellbeing at heart.
