Flowers at a funeral can act as a token of affection to the deceased and an expression of sympathy to the bereaved. A donation to charity, however, can be a lasting tribute to a life. How powerful it is, to mark the passing of a loved one by caring for others in need.
Our in memoriam fund enables mourners to make a contribution in memory of the person who has died. This may be used to provide care for the elderly and people with disabilities, friendship for isolated older people, relief for refugees and asylum seekers and rewarding activities for people with learning difficulties. We hope this expression of care will be a comfort to the next of kin.
We can keep the next of kin informed of the names of those who donated and the total given; and the name of the deceased is added to our book of remembrance, kept in St Philomena’s Chapel, Coleshill. On the first Friday of each month we hold a 12:30 Mass and pray for the dead on the anniversary of their passing. You are welcome to join us.
To make a donation in memory of a loved one, please send a cheque or donate online through the secure JustGiving service. Whether you give by post or online, please add a note giving details of the deceased and the next of kin alongside your own.
Thank you.
Cheques should be made payable to ‘Father Hudson’s Society’ and sent to:
