Second 'Chase the Cake' bike ride for Tabor House

Care to ride

07 October 2018

Want to challenge yourself to help raise money for a good cause? Join a walking and cycling tour of Cannock Chase in October and raise money for iShelter – the group behind Birmingham’s only permanent night shelter, Tabor House.

Tabor House, which opened in September 2017, supports homeless people to get off the streets and into more permanent accommodation through mentoring and advice from volunteers, local experts and partners.

A donation of £20 will allow Tabor House to offer a meal, a bed for the night and breakfast to a homeless person, plus support that can help them get ‘back on track’.

There will be different courses to suit cyclists of different ages and abilities, from  20 off-road miles to 33 or 65 miles on country lanes. There is also a shorter family route that you can walk or cycle.

The non-competitive event, organised and run by the Cannock Chase Cycle Centre, will take place on Sunday 7 October at the Staffordshire beauty spot.

There be homemade cake and tea and coffee on the day. All money raised will go to support homeless people in the Midlands.

Find out more and register at the Cannock Chase Cycle Centre website.

Alternatively, you can donate to Tabor House on the JustGiving page.
