Located in Coleshill, St Catherine’s Day Service is a busy and lively place, providing a variety of community- and centre-based activities for people with complex care needs.
The well-trained, enthusiastic and dedicated staff aim to make every day a meaningful day, in which people are not only kept safe and comfortable, but enjoy new experiences and achieve personal ambitions. We put on a wide range of interesting and stimulating activities in the centre, including:
And we provide opportunities for clients to get involved in the community. Favourite activities include:
With hand-on-hand support, our clients are empowered to accomplish as much as possible by themselves. And with sensitive care provision, each individual’s dignity is our top priority. We welcome service users from neighbouring areas and further afield, and can offer support five days a week or on a part-time basis if preferred.
We give opportunities to people who may be socially isolated, and we offer activities that people do not have the chance to try at home. The Day Service can also provide valuable respite, allowing families to find time for their own work or leisure pursuits.
We work closely with other specialist providers who support service users with physiotherapy, speech and language, diet and aromatherapy, among other things.

Our work is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Local Authorities on whose behalf we provide services. Inspections take place every eighteen months to two years, focusing on whether our services are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led.
In 2018 & 2019, inspections have taken place at St Catherine’s Bungalows and our Domiciliary care service. Both services are rated as ‘good’ overall. Full reports can be found on our provider page on the CQC website.
You can visit the CQC’s website to learn about any registered service and the various initiatives the Commission is taking to improve the overall quality of care: www.cqc.org.uk
